materials for basesFor insole bases IMAGO places 7 different kinds of materials at your disposal.

1. POROFORM: E.V.A. (ethyl-vynil-acetate) and Polyethylene, plates with a thickness of 7,10,15 mm.

Characteristics of POROFORM range: density 290 Kg/mc, hardness SHORE 50, thermomouldable from 140°C. Washable, non toxic.

  • STRUCTURE: MICROPOROUS IN E.V.A. Density= about 290 kg/mc. Hardness= about 50° SHORE A.
  • USE: bases for insole support when especially a good resistance to flattening is required; internal supports; heel socks.
  • CHARACTERISTICS: resistant to compression, dry to the touch, light.
  • WORKABILITY: thermomouldable from 100° to 140°; workable by the grinder; easy to stick; workable on the mould through heat.

The application field of POROFORM range : bases for children flat feet, adult flat feet, obese persons, corrections and inclined planes.

2. EXTRAFOAM: E.V.A. and polyethylene. Thicknesses 5-7-10-15 mm.

Characteristics of EXTRAFOAM range : density 170-185 Kg/mc, hardness 40-45 Shore/A, thermomouldable from 140°C. Washable, non toxic.

  • STRUCTURE: Expanded Polyethylene + high-density E.V.A. with closed cells. Density= about 200 kg/mc; hardness= about 50 SHORE A. Thermoforming temperature: 90-110°C.
  • USE: important supports, bases for insole support when resistance and lightness are required at the same time.
  • CHARACTERISTICS: good elasticity, resistant to dampness and sweat, anallergic and non toxic, resistant to abrasion, soft and velvety in the cold too, light.
  • WORKABILITY: thermomouldable from 100° to 140°, workable by the grinder, easy to stick, workable on the mould through heat.

The application field of EXTRAFOAM range : base for 1° and 2° flat feet, hollow feet, sports insoles, etc..

3. HARDFOAM: E.V.A. and polyethylene. Thicknesses 5-10 mm.

Characteristics of HARDFOAM range : density about 250 Kg/mc, hardness about 55 Shore/A, thermomouldable from 110°C. Washable, non toxic.

  • STRUCTURE: Expanded Polyethylene + high-density E.V.A. with closed cell. Density: about 250 kg/mc. Hardness= about 55 SHORE A. Thermoforming temperature= 110°C.
  • USE: middle supports, bases for insole support when an high resistance is required.
  • CHARACTERISTICS: good elasticity; resistant to dampness and sweat; anallergic and non toxic; resistant to abrasion; soft and velvety in the light cold too.
  • WORKABILITY: thermomouldable; workable by the grinder; easy to stick; workable on the mould through heat.

The application field of HARDFOAM range : base for 1°, 2° and 3° flat feet, internal supports and bases for heavy persons.

4. GOMMASUGHERO: E.V.A. and cork. Thickness 5-7-10 mm.

Characteristics of GOMMASUGHERO range : density 290 kg/mc, hardness 50 Shore/A, thermomouldable from 110°C- Washable, non toxic.

  • STRUCTURE: E.V.A. + CORK. Density= about 290 kg/mc. Hardness= about 50° SHORE A.
  • USE: bases of plantar support where a good resistance to flattening is required; internal supports; heel socks.
  • CHARACTERISTICS: resistant to compression. Dry to the touch. Light.
  • WORKABILITY: thermoformable at 90-110°C; workable by the grinder; easy to stick; workable on the mould through heat.

The application field of GOMMASUGHERO range: base for support of 2° and 3° flat feet, hollow feet.

5. BREMBOCELL: Reticulate expanded polyethylene. Thicknesses 10 mm.

Characteristics of BREMBOCELL range : Density 150 kg/mc, thermomouldable up to 110° C. Light, washable, non toxic.

  • STRUCTURE: reticulate expanded polyethylene. Density= about 150 kg/mc. Operating temperature: 90-110° C.
  • USE: for significant insole supports when lightness is required.
  • CHARACTERISTICS: resistant to dampness and sweat. Anallergic. Ultra-light.
  • WORKABILITY: thermoformable; workable by the grinder; easy to stick; workable on the mould through heat.

The application field of BREMBOCELL range: for ultra-light internal supports.

6. MAXIFOAM for bases: polyethylene foam and EVA. Thicknesses 5,7,10 and 15 mm. Not perforated only.

  • STRUCTURE: POLYETHYLENE FOAM + ETHYL VYNIL ACETATE (E.V.A.), with closed cells. Density: about 140 kg/mc. Hardness= about 40° SHORE A.
  • USE: pediatric, geriatric and Sports insoles. Prosthesis covering too.
  • CHARACTERISTICS: resistant to dampness and sweat. Anallergic and non-toxic. Resistant to abrasion. It doesn’t fade. Dry to the touch. Soft and velvety in the cold. Light, good memory.
  • WORKABILITY: thermoformable at about 110-130°C. Preheating time from 30 to 60 sec. Workable by the grinder. It is advisable to use ventilated hovens. Easy to stick. Workable on the mould through heat.

The application field of MAXIFOAM range: comfort plantar bases.

7. STRATOS: E.V.A. (ethyl-vynil-acetate) and Polyethylene, plates with a tickness of 15 mm. Not perforated only.

Characteristics of STRATOS range : density 290 Kg/mc, hardness SHORE 50, thermomouldable from 140°C. Washable, non-toxic.

  • STRUCTURE: MICROPOROUS IN E.V.A. Density= about 290 kg/mc. Hardness= about 50° SHORE A.
  • USE: bases of insole support when a good resistance to flattening is required; internal supports; heel socks; CAD-CAM working.
  • CHARACTERISTICS: resistant to compression; dry to the touch; light.
  • WORKABILITY: thermomouldable from 100° to 140°; workable by the grinder; easy to stick; workable on the mould through heat.

The application field of STRATOS range : support bases for children flat feet, adult flat feet, obese persons, monobloc insoles from plaster mould, in plates or modules for CAD-CAM working.
