Our work consists in planning and manufacturing insoles, shoes suitable for sensible feet, our work is also to render the use of complex technologies, as our cad-cam systems, easily usable by podiatrists and orthopedic technicians. This work requires professionalism and devotion.
For us the professionalism is essential within any business ambit. For this reason we wanted to render our presence on the web more professional and efficacious and we relied upon external professionals.
We entrusted the web projects Department of Euroimpresa Consulting, with the design and the creation of our new site by sharing their aims and strategies.
The main aims of the project were: visibility, communication, compliance with the standards.
The first two aims seem easily understandable (and widely shareable…) and to reach them we directed our attention to the wealth of contents, that is what most marks this new site compared with the previous one, while the blog allows us to reach you immediately and at the right time with further informative contents always updated and close to our daily activity: participation in fairs, conventions and other events, the announcement of new products, “road tests” for the most important products, studies in depth.
The last aim we had, the compliance with current standards, was strongly recommended to us by our partner in this project and we are pleased to let it show its value.
Euroimpresa Consulting thanks Imago for having the necessary sensitiveness to put site accessibility and the compliance with current standards within the aims of this project.
It is not easy to find customers sensitive to these problems. This is a cultural problem and it concerns also our sensitiveness. We are used to seeing parking reserved for disabled: it is a form of respect and civility. On the web, on the contrary, the sites easily accessible to differently-abled persons are still a minority. The Stanca law, that foresees obligations for public bodies websites, has not created a school.
Furthermore, an accessible website not only makes easier the access of persons with all kind of handicap, but also results to be more easily usable by people who don’t suffer from any pathology.
The accessibility is obtained first of all by means of:
For the creation of this site we have complied with the fundamental principle of dividing the contents from the graphics by using in particular for the coding of the web pages the language xhtml 1.0 strict and the CSS for the prepping. Why the xhtml format? We reply with a statement drawn by W3C site: “the family XHTML is the next step in Internet revolution. By passing to XHTML today, developers can enter in XML world having all their benefits attended, being sure of the compatibility with the current and future user agents”. For further information consult the official website of W3C as well as one of the sites which most contributed towards CSS divulgation for the prepping: CSS Zen Garden.
For all the pages of the site, in particular, we have verified the compliance with the following standards:
As everything is perfectible, we ask you to point out to us possible problems or doubts about the suitability of this site. You will help us improve it.
