Who we are

Established in 1995, IMAGO has been devoting itself to the production and commercialization of orthotic semifinished insoles (medical devices belonging to class I) standard and personalized, created by following a semi-industrial working process, as well as patented orthotic-medical shoes (medical devices belonging to class I).

It develops, produces and trades Baropodometric electronic systems (devices for the study of the step) and CAD-CAM systems for the production of made-to-measure insoles.

It operates on the sanitary market and its Customers are especially Orthopedic Factories and Shops of Orthopedics, in addition to Universities, Hospitals and Podiatrists.

Become the protagonists of foot specialized sector by offering to the market avant-garde solutions with high-quality products and good services and by helping workers during their professional training, in order to socially contribute, through foot care and wellbeing, towards a better life quality for everyone.

The story

Since its first steps IMAGO has become known for its dynamism and professionalism so over few years it is already considered as one of the leaders in the market of plantar ortheses in Italy.

Beginning from 1996 the relationships between the most established European partners in the diagnostic and podologic sector in France, Germany and Spain have become more intense. These relationships led the company to initial with them major import-export trade agreements.

The business strategy is based on research, product innovation, service ans delivery speed, and last but not least on "customer learning" (that is customer technical-scientific training).

In fact during the years IMAGO has made a name for itself because of its strong activity of professional training (hundreds of operators have participated in different courses), particularly in the field of posturology where it can be considered as a point of reference for all health workers attending to this field.

In 1999 it entered the market of CAD-CAM systems for the production of made-to-measure insoles, in 2000 the market of prepared shoes. In April 2002 the centre "INPIEDI" was opened, a shop specialized in foot. During the same year it acquired the Italian competing firm, specialized in the production of personalized insoles.

Finally (in 2005) it acquired from MEDILABO S.r.l. the company branch and the patent relevant to the production of the medical shoes "Le…Modissime: a worldwide exclusive product that, by already benefiting from a strong distribution reality in France, led IMAGO to develop more and more its penetration into foreign markets. In fact, during the same 2005, through local traders, important trade agreements for Russian and Spanish markets were signed.
