Making technic of the CAD-CAM insole orthesis.

Lhow to gain the foot picture:

  • by using of the WINPOD baropometric footboard, just starting with a simple baropodometric recording ( on free choice: static, dynamic or postural);
  • by using the flat WINSCAN scanner, that allows to gain the patient’s foot picture both upright and sit down;
  • by using the 3D laser, to retrieve the pictures from the phenolic foam, from the choak mould, from an already worked insole or just to retrieve corrective tools such as back bars, metatarsal supports, etc.

Such pictures can also be automatically reproduced in 1:1 shape, singularly or overlapped between them, through the CAD “DTM” project software, to perform directly on them the tailor made insole orthesis.

DFrom now onwards you can chose the kind of project:

  • with points (schemes) as you simulated the project on freehand;
  • with standard elements taken out from the library (e.g: metatarsal crown, longitudinal, back bars etc.) to put into the project;
  • according to the framework starting with the insole prototype you can find in the library.

During the project there are some key-tools which let us make the project easier and quicker, such tools are to be found in a special “bookstore”, with them it is possible to:

  • choose the plantar template ;
  • measure the insole in cm. or according to shoe size;
  • measure in every single point of the insole heights/thickness;
  • have different section displays;
  • convert the insole file to AVI format (tridimensional animation);

After project it is possibile to select the kind of material and shape to be worked:

  • rough flared;
  • maxi module;
  • plate.

Now you can “virtually” integrate the insole project with Cad and then send it to the milling server (CAM).

Firstly you put the material into the miling machine, secondly the milling process gets starting by pressing and then the insole is ready in 15/20 minutes.

You have only to remove the template on the edges and then coat it... EVERYTHING IS READY! And the insole also!
